Calcium treatment, not only has the function of deoxidation, desulfurization ,changing the morphology of inclusions and increasing the continuous castability, ( the purity of steel and the continuous castability are increased remarkably.) but also be used in micro adjustment, increasing ca yield ,stable production operations, improving product quality and reducing production cost.
In recent years , some steel manufactuers used solid ca cored wire for calcium treatment in the refining process.
